Rooted in Pueblo, Soaring High

Steel City Drone Services may have officially launched in 2024, but our story goes deeper. We began as a passionate group of Pueblo-based teachers and students united by a shared interest in drone technology.

Fueled by a desire to learn and contribute, we embarked on a journey to become FAA certified drone pilots. This journey wasn't just about acquiring a license; it was about building a foundation of knowledge and experience through rigorous study. We delved into the complexities of drone regulations, the intricacies of the national airspace system, learned to navigate using sectional charts, and mastered the science of meteorology. Ultimately, our dedication culminated in successfully passing the FAA's Part 107 exam.

With Steel City Drone Services, we envisioned a twofold mission:

• Filling a Need: We saw a gap in the Pueblo market – a lack of affordable, professional drone services. We wanted to make this technology accessible for our community, offering high-quality aerial solutions at competitive prices.

• Building Expertise: We recognized the importance of hands-on experience for aspiring drone pilots. Our company provides a platform for our certified pilots to hone their skills and gain valuable professional exposure as they enter the drone industry.

Beyond Professional Services:

Our passion extends beyond offering drone services. We actively encourage our students to explore how drone technology can complement their existing skillsets, no matter what field they choose to pursue.
